Does AI really run on device?
Yes. PDF Editor AI uses Apple's Foundation Models framework so summarization, chat, translation, extraction, and form auto-fill all run locally on your iPhone or iPad. Your document text is never uploaded to a server.
Which devices are supported?
PDF Editor AI is built for iOS and iPadOS, with full Apple Pencil support on iPad. On-device AI requires an Apple Intelligence–capable device; the rest of the app works on all supported iPhones and iPads.
How is my data stored and synced?
By default, everything lives in the app's local library. If you enable iCloud, your documents and metadata sync via Apple's CloudKit. You can also connect Dropbox for explicit backups. You choose what syncs and where.
Can I sign and send contracts?
Yes. Save reusable signatures, place them on any page, then flatten the file on export so signatures travel as part of the PDF — no special viewer required.
Will I be charged for AI usage?
No per-message fees and no API costs — because there's no server. PDF Editor AI offers a Pro subscription that unlocks the full editor, AI tools, and unlimited signing. Pricing is shown in the App Store and inside the app.
